It is a guiding principle of the Network to include practitioners in the work to learn, analyze, and develop strategies for the region. Although we are a funder network, we cannot make the change we envision without their thought partnership and honest dialogue. To that end, we believe that shared learning between funders and practitioners leads to a more robust analysis of the opportunities, challenges, and innovative approaches to advance Appalachia’s economic transition. We invite leading practitioners to participate in dedicated working group activities and in Annual Gatherings as thought partners.

Please note that we are a learning Network and not a grantmaking organization. However, there may be times when we invite proposals or are able to share proposals with our Network of grantmakers. These opportunities will be posted on our news page.
