The Appalachia Funders Network creates opportunities for charities, donors, and prospective donors to provide support to charitable organizations and causes that align with their interests. We operate http://www.appalachiafunders.org (the "Site") and work in partnership with you to improve the Central Appalachian region. To do this we seek to build a trusting relationship with you.  

Our privacy policy is intended to provide transparency into our privacy policies and practices in a way that is easy to navigate, read, and understand. We are dedicated to treating your personal information with care and respect as is the tradition with charitable organizations around the world. When you visit this Site, we collect information that your browser sends to us such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics. We use a third party service (Google Analytics) to collect, monitor, and analyze this data. This information helps us to improve the Site. We honor “do not track” signals and do not track when your browser’s do not track (DNT) mechanism is in place.  

In addition, we may at times request from you and collect from you certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you such as your name, email address, organizational affiliation, and charitable interests. We provide you the option of giving anonymously. We may use your Personal Information to contact you with information on your interests, announcements of changes in our policies, or other information we believe that you will find useful, but we aim to do so in a way that is consistent with building trust and protecting your personal information.  

Should you make a transaction on the Site via a credit or debit card, we will share that information with credit or debit card processing companies or other payment processors. During the transaction process, you are required to provide Personally Identifiable Information such as your name, address, Billing Information, and email address. We do not have access to credit card information you may provide the merchant account which handles these transactions.

Aside from this collecting and sharing of information necessary for the basic functions of the Site, we do not share your personal information with others and never sell your information to others.

As we have written above, the security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
