Announcement: AFN’s Member Portal
AFN has officially launched its new Member Portal—a long-awaited, shared space designed to make it easier for members to connect, engage, and access the full breadth of the Network.
For the first time, members can log into a protected platform to:
View and register for upcoming events
Explore programs and access materials
Request introductions to other members
Access member-only research and data
Share and browse grants and job opportunities
Read member spotlights and learn what peers across the region are working on
The portal is not meant to replace staff or change how you engage with AFN. It’s about making that engagement easier, safer, and more intuitive—so the Network can continue to be truly member-driven, just with better tools behind it.
Getting started is simple: individuals can either register a new organization or join one that has already been created. Once you submit your registration, AFN staff will review and approve your account. After that, you’ll receive a confirmation link and should bookmark portal.appalachiafunders.org for easy access moving forward.
To help members get the most out of the portal, we’ll be hosting a New Member Orientation on May 19, with a walkthrough of key features and time for questions. All members—new and longtime—are welcome. You can register at the link below.
If you run into any questions or hiccups along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out at kalista@appalachiafunders.org—we’re happy to help.
HOW TO REGISTER:
The first person from an organization to register must register both their organization and themselves. Once that account is created, anyone else affiliated with that organization should register individually and select the option that says "already in the network."
If your organization does not appear in the search bar, it means no one has registered it, and you should register it. Anybody who creates an account with your organization afterward can select it when signing up, and should be able to edit organization details on their end as well.
There is no limit on how many people can be registered with one organization in the portal.
